Putting Your Child's Mental Health First

Offering Virtual & In Person visits to Ohio Residents

Working in pediatric mental health for 10 years, my goal continues to be the same: to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. Ensuring positive outcomes and a bright future for children experiencing mental challenges is one of the many results you can expect to see from Marching On Pediatrics.

My name is Brandy Smith and I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. With four years practicing as a PMHNP and six years practicing as a pediatric mental health nurse, I have a wide knowledge base regarding child brain development, mental health diagnoses, and treatment approaches.

I specialize in pediatric trauma and am a certified ADHD provider.

Trauma Informed Care

Specializing in pediatric trauma, I approach each case utilizing my training in trauma-informed care. Allowing for your child to take their time on this journey with me as we build our rapport will better promote a positive outcome. I provide a judgement-free zone where you and your child are able to feel comfortable being your true selves.

Pediatric Mental Health Care

What to Expect

Once you make the decision to start treatment with Marching On, you will be scheduled for a 60 minute parent intake appointment to discuss at length your concerns and specific needs. Another 60 minute intake appointment will then be scheduled with your child to discuss their specific concerns and dive deeper into symptoms to help develop a diagnosis and treatment plan. Follow-up appointments will then be scheduled as needed anywhere from weekly to three months out based on your child's progress and needs.

Medication management

Whether your child is needing a medication for anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, or bipolar disorder, we will come to a solution together and pick a medication that is right for your child. It is important to know that not all children will need a medication for their mental health concerns and therapy can be utilized on it's own.

Therapy

Up to 20 minutes of therapy can be utilized in each medication management appointment.

Payment

Insurances accepted include Anthem, Aetna, Carlon Behavioral, Cigna, Optum, Oxford, Quest Behavioral, and most Meritain & Medical Mutal plans. Private pay is also accepted.
